So I couldn't stick to a top *ten* for 2019... Am I a little extra? Yes. Do you all love it? Probably (you better). Here is a short stack of books that have also stuck with me through 2019 as stand-outs in some way. Searching for Sylvie Lee was a fantastic mystery with such a strong cultural/familial tie in. Daisy Jones is MY GIRL! The writing style was so unique and it gave me allllll the Stevie Nicks vibes. Dark Matter literally made me (and still makes me) question everything about the world in which we live. If you’re looking for beautiful prose and a stunning portrait of a woman, look no further than The Age of Light. Kiese Laymon’s Heavy is the realest and most honest memoir you could ever hope to read.
I hope you’ll all pick one of these up in 2020. Have you read any of them yet?
