You Are Not Alone by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen (#11 in 2020) The Wife Between Us - loved... twisted... dark... surprising. An Anonymous Girl - liked... listened to it on audio... expected the twist early on. You Are Not Alone - it wasn't awful. I didn't hate it, BUT it was a bit of nonsense. In the beginning, I was hooked and genuinely curious about the motives behind each of the characters' actions. The conflict was pretty juvenile, and I felt like a lot of the characters were immature. The plot progression seemed more like something a young adult would want to read, but the content was NOT suitable for young adult. I unpacked who the weirdos were fairly early on-- no surprises there. All of a sudden, the action picked up and I was very interested to see how things worked out... and then it ended quite abruptly. In addition to being abrupt, I found the resolution to kind of... boring. A *very* generous 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Maybe I just went in with high expectations because I loved The Wife Between Us so much? Maybe it just wasn't the book for me? I know a lot of my booksta friends have read this one. Please share opinions in the comments below! I'd love to hear what you all thought.
