This Is Not How It Ends by Rochelle B. Weinstein (#2 in 2020)

Charlotte, a young literature teacher and love-story analyst meets Philip, an older businessman, on board a plane when they are seated in the same row. They connect on a personal level and further their conversation and relationship as Philip woos Charlotte and promises a life she always dreamed of. As they settle into a life in the Florida Keys, Charlotte becomes wary of Philip's frequent absences and fears that their relationship is weakening. In the midst of their uncertain relationship, a new acquaintance forces Charlotte to question her love life and her upcoming marriage to Philip.

It's no secret that I'm not a huge fan of romance. I tend to find a lot of it cheesy and predictable, bordering on cringe-worthy. This book is NOT one of those cheesy love stories. The plot runs much deeper than a "rocky relationship" story, and Weinstein crafts the story in such a way that the reader is engaged in following Charlotte through life's challenges There were some predictable parts in This Is Not How It Ends, but these parts were almost anticipated, and I felt like I was excited to see the choices that Charlotte would have to make. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars

I could totally see this book becoming a movie (and not just for the Lifetime channel). In the spirit of hoping that this book gets picked up by a production company, I'd like to cast some characters: - Charlotte: Rachel McAdams - Philip: Colin Firth - Ben: Milo Ventimiglia

Totally unrelated, but check out this fresh juice. It's called the "morning meditation" and it's made with orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar, and beet. HOLY AMAZING!

Have you read this book yet? If so, what do you think of my casting? If not, add this to your TBR!
