The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter (#47 in 2020)
Charlotte and Samantha's world was turned upside down after a home invasion 28 years ago. This traumatizing experience left their mother dead, their father broken, and landed one sister with years of physical rehabilitation. Now, 28 years later, Charlie finds herself in the middle of the action once again as she is a key witness to a violent crime. Not only does she have to live through the pain of the present, but the current events resurface the pain of the past as well.
I read this book MONTHS ago, and I realize I totally forgot to post a review until now, but The Good Daughter deserves alllll the attention!

Karin Slaughter has got to be the queen of thrillers. I feel like I’ve been feeling so lackluster with thrillers this year, but she’s one of the good ones. She drew me in with a plot that I thought I had completely figured out and then threw in a twist I wasn’t even expecting.
Next up for my Karin Slaughter reads is: Pretty Girls. Any other thriller recommendations?
