Little Secrets by Jennifer Hillier (#38 in 2020)

Marin married her college sweetheart, Derek. After building successful businesses, they started to build their family when they had their son. In just 480 seconds, their son is abducted without a trace and Marin's life is turned upside down. The story picks up a year later when Marin has taken the investigation into her own hands while the FBI has allowed the cast to go cold. As Marin continues to hunt for clues that would lead her to her son, she uncovers lots of little secrets that disrupt her normal life and way of thinking...

YESSS, Jennifer Hillier! I know I was late to the game when I read Jar of Hearts in the fall of 2019, but I'm so glad I waited because I got this mama pretty soon after and didn't have to wait too long for my next Hillier thriller.

People, I was so wrapped up in this plot that I flew through it in just 3 hours and 21 minutes. I literally couldn't put it down. I loved the different characters and the secrets that were revealed and how all of those little pieces contributed to the whole. I love when an author puts so much thought into a book that little details pop back up when you least expect them, and Hillier executes that technique so well.

Did I guess a few of the twists? Yes. But did I enjoy the challenge of figuring those twists out? Of course. Did @pattyisbooked call me while she was reading to shout her thoughts over the phone? Yes, she did. Should you read this book ASAP? Yes, what are you waiting for?! 5 stars
